Laura with college friends

Laura had been getting ready to go out with her friends one evening. It was at the end of summer, which meant that the sun usually goes down earlier than usual. She had been looking forward to this event all week, and all she could think about was how much fun she was going to have with her friends.
&#034Oh man, I cannot wait to go frisbee golfing! I wonder which golf course we will be going to this time!&#034
She had been with them once, and she had a lot of fun the first time. All of a sudden, a knock was heard at her bedroom door.
&#034Hey Laura, I think your friends are here&#034 her mom said. It was no surprise that her mom was up at this time of the evening, it was 11:00 P.M, and though that she was in college, her f****y was very close. But her mom knew that she had to go out and have some fun with other people sometime.
&#034Alright mom, I will be there in a sec!&#034 Laura replied.
Laura then sat down too think about the things that she might bring. She looked down at the floor from where she was sitting on the bed, and was wondering if she needed to bring her heavy coat, or her light sweater. For a few seconds, she hesitated, but then with an impulse, grabbed her heavy coat. It was a very fancy coat that she had received at her 21st birthday party from her grandparents, and though it was a bit short, she knew that it will warm her through the night. With a smile on her face, she then sprung up from her bed, and opened the door, to see her mom.
She looked very happy, though with worried eyes. &#034Listen Laura, I know you are good friends with them, but please try to remember to be safe and be on guard. I know that you might be mad, but I don’t want anything bad to happen to you.&#034
In an instant, Laura put on a smile to cheer her up, &#034Don’t worry mom, they are really good friends. The last time we all went out, we had a lot of fun, and we came back home safely. And if there is a problem, I will call you as fast as I can. I promise.&#034
Her mom began to smile back.
&#034 Alright, just remember that the key is under the outside carpet in the back. I don’t want you to ring the door bell at 5 in the morning, do you hear me?&#034
Laura shrugged with a smile on her face &#034I promise.&#034
That moment, the door bell range three times, really fast. Laura knew that one of her buds were on the other side of that door, and she couldn’t wait any longer by her mom to leave her home and go out to have some fun.
&#034Laura? We are here!&#034 Said a voice.
Laura walked to the door with haste, knowing that it was one of her friends from college. At the door, she unlocked the door to see her friend.
&#034Hey Eric! I’m ready to go.&#034 Laura said. Looking at Eric, he was wearing basketball shorts and a sports shirt, and it looked like to her that he was ready to play frisbee.
&#034Are you ready to play frisb….&#034. Eric was looking at what Laura was wearing, and was a bit surprised. He then gave off a grinning smile as he analyzed what she was wearing. He then looked back up to her eyes with a bit of a deviant spike to his voice.
&#034Hey Laura, do you think that sun dress will make you too cold?&#034 Eric said. Laura then punched his shoulder lightly, as if she was trying to make a point without being too demanding, &#034Don’t worry about me. By the time we finish running around, I will be super hot anyway. And I’m wearing a sports bra and sports shorts, so I will be fine.&#034
Eric began to smile and moved to the side a bit. &#034 Well then, let’s get going. The other guys are waiting for us right now, and they are being a bit impatient.&#034
Laura gave off a strange look. &#034Why is that? We all have all night to hang out, there’s no rush.&#034 Eric slowly walked to the van, and Laura followed him at his pace. As they were walking to the car, she saw that Eric’s neck was sweating slowly.
&#034Hey, are you alright Eric? You are sweating a lot.&#034 Laura said. Eric looked back at her while keeping his pace towards the van. &#034I’m alright&#034 he said. &#034I actually had to run a few errands before coming here, so walking slow is a nice thing I could have right now.&#034
Laura eased up a bit, hearing Eric’s story. Eric looked back, as they were walking around the corner of her street. At the corner, the van was right there, and Laura could see the lights on inside. She then could see a few figures moving around, as well as hearing the window come down.
&#034Hey Laura, Eric, hurry up! We don’t want to burn this night light away, do we?&#034 Said a familiar voice. Laura and Eric began to walk a bit faster, and as they were doing that, she could see the van shaking a bit from left to right a tiny bit. She knew that the whole gang was here, but she heard voices that weren’t familiar to her.
As they got to the side door of the van, the door slid open revealing the people inside. &#034Hey Laura, Eric, get in!&#034 It was an unfamiliar person who said that, and Laura began to ask the questions.
&#034Who are you &#034 She said. &#034 she seemed a bit at ease seeing her other friends in the car as well.
&#034Will invited me to this event, and I do need to socialize with people.&#034 he said.. Laura eased up a bit while looking at the door steps. &#034I’m Stan, and this here is a friend that I brought to this event, Jack.&#034
Jack took off his hat and reached out to her hand. &#034It’s nice to meet you Laura, but I bet I will destroy you tonight!&#034 Laura began to laugh a bit to add to the environment of the conversation. &#034You wish&#034, she said. &#034I bet I can beat you with only three lunges.&#034 She said. Everyone began to smile a bit in the car, and Jack began to laugh. &#034Trust me, by the time tonight is over, you will be so sore, I don’t think walking tomorrow will be an option.&#034
Laura began to laugh again along with Jack and Will, which led everyone to laugh. She was feeling very happy, too happy though. She looked at her friends, and she realized they were looking at Eric who was behind her. She then turned around casually, thinking it was a prank. Yet all of a sudden, she felt a hard press up against her mouth and nose. She began to freak out, and began to try to get out of his locked position. But it was too late. She felt hands holding her from preventing the rag to suffocate her, and she heard someones voice. &#034Go to sl**p&#034 it said. &#034We will destroy you before you wake up.&#034
All of a sudden, she began to feel drowsy, and she could feel her eyes closing on her. &#034What….. is……&#034 she said, before blackness enveloped her mind.
